My profile image and a variation of my YouTube channel name with questionable/misleading comments has been seen in multiple Philippines based YouTube Livestream chats.
Some Filipina live streamers and fellow moderators who know me were able to identify it as a clone account. If seen, please report this account to YouTube for “impersonation” and ban the account from your channels.
In one instance, the host knew that I had Mod status and this troll account wasn’t blue with a wrench, so after a moment of confusion it was easily identified as fake. Thanks to the active Mod who DMed me with a “heads up” and banned the troll account.
* Gelay, from “Gelay and Untold Stories” told her viewers that this is “someone who is jealous that Brian is moderating two beautiful Filipinas.” Nice one Gelay, cheers my friend!
** An observer suggested that this individual may also be attempting to acquire Mod status on channels based on the reputation of my name. Please note to YouTubers, I have never asked and never will ask for Mod status on any channel – so this will be a clue to avoid being scammed by this troll.
Presumably, this is the work of an angry individual who has been “timed-out” or “banned” and is seeking retribution, or as suggested, someone jealous of my popularity among Philippines based content creators. I have narrowed my suspects down to three recent culprits.
I have submitted an impersonation report to YouTube.
Unfortunately, unlike all my other social media accounts, I do not qualify for a checkmark verification badge on my YouTube account until my channel reaches 100K subs.
